Colophon · how this site was built

The medium is the argument.

I say I'm a creative who ships the build. So I built the thing you're reading it on.

This site has no template, no CMS, and no page builder. Every page is hand-written HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript — laid out, typeset, and animated by hand, then deployed as a static site. The point isn't purity for its own sake. It's that a portfolio for a Product Creative Technologist should be a working example of the discipline, not a description of it.

It was designed and built by hand, with AI in the loop — the same method behind the Woodward Brand Operating System: a person holding the story and the standard, using AI to move faster without handing over the taste. Story first. System second. The build is just the proof.

Story first. System second. The build is the proof.

Why it's built this way

Because the argument I make to clients and teams is that coherence can be engineered — that a brand can hold its voice while everything around it multiplies. This site is the smallest possible version of that argument: one hand holding the whole thing together, from the first idea to the production code. If you want the full-scale version, that's the Woodward BOS.
